Staff Support Worker (Advocacy)
£7.50 per hour for 25 hours
Contract Type: Permanent
Hours: Part time

Location: Tyne and Wear

We are looking for a someone to work as part of a dedicated team providing support to visually impaired members of staff to enable those members of staff to carry out tasks they are unable to carryout themselves due to their sight loss.
Main duties will include:
Assisting with mobility and orientation around the workplace, especially when working out of the office environment
Providing driving support during the working day
Assisting with administrative tasks such as typing reports, scanning documents, filing, note taking etc
Assisting with data entry on the electronic client management system
Reading written information and producing information in accessible formats

The post is subject to an enhanced DBS check.
Applicants must have a current driving license and access to a car for business use.
Applicants must have relevant qualifications in Maths and English as well as excellent IT skills and be proficient users of Microsoft Office packages.

Visual awareness training and sighted guiding training will be provided.
